Association of Interdisciplinary Studies and Research (AISR) is an New Initiative of the Department to promote Interdisciplinary studies and Research. The Association was established on 2016. There are various programmes like colloquium, Seminars, and Debates are conducted in association with various reputed institutions of the country.
By the initiative AISR (Association of Interdisciplinary Studies and Research) in collaboration with NCESS (National Centre for Earth Science Studies, Thiruvanathapuram) conducted a Colloquium on ” Interactive Effects of Climate Change in Riparian Ecosystem” on 17th February 2017. Association of Interdisciplinary Studies and Research (AISR) of Department of Botany, Mar Thoma College, Chungathara is organised an awareness programme on “Disaster Management” in Collaboration with Department of Environmental Science, Kerala University, Karyavattom Thiruvanathapuram on 16th December 2019 on 1:30 P.M. at College Audio Visual Hall. One hundred and fourteen students and ten faculty members attended in the session. Dr. Sabu Joseph ( Professor & Head Department of Environmental Science,Kerala University) and Dr. Bindhya (Assstant Professor, Department of Environmental Science,Kerala University ) lead the session. ;Twenty two M.Sc. Environmental Science students of Kerala attended this venture. Dr.Sabu Joseph lead the Session on”Concept of Disaster Management.”
